The Basmanny Court of Moscow until August 3 arrested Timofey Mokiy, suspected of preparing an assassination attempt on TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov, the press service of the court told RBC.

TASS, citing a law enforcement source, reports that Timofey Mokiy was involved in the case group of nationalists Anton Vasiliev, whose members were convicted for a series of explosions and attacks on foreigners motivated by interethnic hatred in 2008-2009. According to the agency, he helped collect explosive devices.

On the eve of the Baza Telegram channel, it was reported that the full namesake Timofei Mokiy was detained in Lyubertsy near Moscow, who is suspected of trying to set fire to military registration and enlistment offices in Balashikha and Shchelkovo in May. On April 25, the FSB announced that the assassination attempt on Solovyov had been prevented.
